Why we campaigned over Downing Street NPfIT papers

People are always asking me to blog more often, well here you go, I looked up some info on ‘nurses mistakes’.

For three years the Cabinet Office put up legal arguments against our request under the Freedom of Information Act to publish the Downing Street papers on the NHS’s National Programme for IT - so why has it suddenly confirmed it is to release them? When we asked the Cabinet Office it said only: “Having re-examined the balance of public interest the Cabinet Office has decided to withdraw from its appeal to the Information Tribunal.” If this is true, and it could be, what has prompted a c
